It is our policy to make life simpler for you - you can always get a great deal delivered straight to your doorstep with BHB. Free delivery is offered on most of the products and valid to retail customers purchasing through BHB

You can also arrange to collect the products yourself from our outlets or warehouse. Some bigger items may be delivered by our trusted manufacturers.

We practice immediate delivery - most of the standard orders will be delivered to your doorstep within the same day or in 1-3 business days. At the time of purchase, we will let you know approximately when the order will arrive. Our BHB Home Delivery Service team will contact you in advance if the order cannot be delivered in full at the time approximated. We can arrange to have your goods delivered at any time, however after a firm date has been set, we can only hold your goods for a maximum of 1 month after the due delivery date.

We do our best to ensure that you never will face the annoyance of waiting for a delivery that never arrives. Our delivery man will inform you if he’s late. In the event if we did not inform you that we’re behind schedule, we’ll apologize and you may request compensation from the respective outlets for a free gift.

It’s our goal to provide you with quality delivery service for your product purchase. Help us to achieve our responsibility by informing us 1 day in advance should you foresee the possibility of absence.

We can also call your prior to delivery to ensure you’re home to receive your goods. You may also assign an authorized representative to accept the delivery on your behalf.

How can I help BHB to locate my home place?

We would appreciate if you would assist us in any special direction to help us locate your home place easily. Kindly advise us of any challeges we might faced when delivering your products – narrow staircase, restricted assess, no lift etc.

What do I do if the goods are damaged upon delivery?

We advise all customers to inspect their products carefully before signing the delivery order. Should there be any damage found after receiving and signing the order, kindly report to BHB within 24 hours of delivery.

Can BHB help to assemble or disassemble my goods?

In the event installation is required, don’t worry – leave it to our expert, our delivery team will unpack your product for you. It’s our responsibility to ensure you get to enjoy good after-sales service. In the event if the delivery team did not offer you this service, please remind them that you have paid for this service.

Installation

Certain products, like air conditioners, require installation by a certified trade professional, such as an electrician.Our outlet can provide details of local trade professionals who will be able to install your new product.

Most electrical products and appliances do not require a certified trade professional. We strongly recommend that you carefully read any user manual, installation guide and safety warnings that come packaged with your new product.

Refrigeration

As part of our delivery and installation service, we will:

Position your new fridge in the area of your choice
Connect it to an existing power point, including spur sockets
Ensure it is levelled to reduce vibrations
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly and bring you through the key features
Your selected plumber will connect it to a water supply (for the ice making feature)

Before ordering installation, you should check that:

The space for your fridge is sufficient ; height , depth and width
You have instructed your electrician to prepare electricity outlet for your refrigerator
You have instructed your plumber to lay a working water supply (for the ice making machine)
The stop valve (that controls the cold water supply) is no more than 1 metre away from the fridge
Your old appliance has been emptied if you want it to be removed

Free Standing Dishwashers

As part of our service, we will:

Position your dishwasher in the area of your choice
Disconnect your old dishwasher (if any)
Connect the existing water supply, waste pipe and power point
Ensure it is levelled to reduce vibrations
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly and bring you through the key features

Before ordering, you should check that:

The space for your fridge is sufficient ; height , depth and width
You have instructed your electrician to prepare electricity outlet for your dishwasher
You have instructed your plumber to lay a working water supply with easy access
The stop valve (that controls the cold water supply) is no more than 1 metre away from the dishwasher
There is easy access to an independent waste outlet for your new appliance
You do not require hot water piped to be capped off
Your stop valves are working correctly
You do not require any carpentry work to install your new dishwasher

Washing machines and Washer Dryers

As part of our delivery and installation service, we will:

Position your new washer in the area of your choice
Disconnect your old appliance
Connect the existing water supply, waste pipe and power point
Ensure it is levelled to reduce vibrations
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly and bring you through the key features

Before ordering, you should check that:

The space for your washer is sufficient ; height , depth and width
You have instructed your electrician to prepare electricity outlet for your washer
You have instructed your plumber to lay a working water supply with easy access
There is easy access to an independent waste outlet from your appliance and not more than 1 metre away
You do not require hot water piped to be capped off
Your stop valves are working correctly

Tumble dryers

As part of our service, we will:

Position your new tumble dryer in the area of your choice ; floor , on top of washer or wall
Connect it to an existing power point
Ensure it is levelled to reduce vibrations
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly and bring you through the key features

Before ordering installation, you should check that:

The space for your washer is sufficient ; height , depth and width
You have instructed your electrician to prepare a separate electricity outlet for your dryer
There is sufficient access for ventilation tubes and corring hole prepared for ventilation to outdoor
If your room does not permit hot air ventilation to outdoor, do consider purchasing a condenser dryer or washer dryer
You do not require a stacking kit, or your tumble dryer to be sited on top of your washer or your tumble dryer to be fixed on the wall with wall brackets provided

Electric Vitro Ceramic or Induction Built-in Hob

As part of our service, we will:

Position your hob to the existing area
Disconnect your old cooker/hob*
Install the new hob into the existing housing and wire it up
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly, safe and bring you through the key features

Before ordering, you should check that:

Your new appliance fits into the existing housing
If you have a cooker hood, there is at least 650mm to 700mm between it and the hob
There is a working power point within half a metre of the new appliance
There are no cupboards directly above the appliance, or combustible materials (e.g. wood or wallpaper) behind the cooking space
The existing wiring is not routed under plaster or tiles

Gas built-in cooker or hob

As part of our delivery and installation service, we will:

Carry out a basic survey prior to installation, including testing for gas leaks
Disconnect your old product
Install the new one into the existing housing unit and connect it to an existing gas hose
Connect an electric cable for the pilot light, if required or install batteries (if provided)
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly, safe and bring you through the key features

Before ordering, you should check that:

Your new appliance fits where you would prefer it
If you have a cooker hood, there is at least 700mm to 760mm between it and the hob; the gap between the cooker and base unit must be at least 20mm
There is a working and accessible gas supply within one metre of the new appliance; and an electric socket within half a metre if the appliance has non-battery electrical ignition
There is a gas cylinder ready if you wish to test it.
Electrical points directly above cooking surfaces are blanked off
There are no cupboards directly above the appliance, or combustible materials (e.g. wood or wallpaper) behind the cooking space

Your new appliance fits where you would prefer it
If you have a cooker hood, there is at least 650mm to 700mm between it and the range cooker
There is a working power point within a metre of the range cooker
There are no cupboards directly above the appliance, or combustible materials (e.g. wood or wallpaper) behind the cooking space

As part of our installation service, our team will:

Connect your TV to an existing power point.
Plug in the aerial.
Tune in tv stations and Astro (where available)
Connect up to five additional vision units using the cables provided
Test everything to ensure it is working correctly and bring you through the key features

Your first option for TV wall mounting - the BHB TV installation service

One of the benefits of the new LCD and Plasma TVs is their ability to be hung on a wall rather than put on a stand. However, as these are expensive and heavy items, you need to ensure that the wall mounting is safe and secure before fixing your TV to it.

BHB offers a wall mounting service which will ensure your new TV is hung on to the wall with the wall bracket of your choice (cost of TV wall bracket is extra) and installed safely by our professional installers.

As part of this service, we will:

Unpack your new products, remove and dispose of the packaging and situate in the room of your choice
Carry out a survey of your room and walls, to ensure suitability
Mount and secure the bracket and screen on the wall
Connect to associated equipment (DVD player, Astro etc.) up to 5 metres away
Demonstrate the main features of your new products
Vacuum and tidy the work area

Before ordering, you should ensure that:

Your wall bracket is compatible with your TV
Equipment you wish to have connected up is no more than 5 metres away
You do not require moving, alteration or installation of new electrical points, speaker mounting, holes drilled or wires hiding within walls

Before Installation

1. How to choose an air-conditioning system for the house?

To choose an air-conditioning system for the house, you will need to:

Considering the areas that you require air-conditioning.
Analysis the cooling cover capacity
Confirm the brands and types of air conditioner that you desire.
The budget.

Installation

1. How long is the air conditioner installation?

HDB installation will normally take 1 full day (approximate 8 hrs) whereas installation for other property is dependent on the piping length. Generally 1 fan coil per day is a safe guide.

2. If my air-conditioning unit is already supported on a concrete ledge or encased by a concrete or steel casing, do I still need to install a stainless steel bracket?

No. If your air-conditioning unit sits securely on a concrete ledge or inside a concrete or steel casing specifically designed to hold it, then there is no need for any retrofitting works. However, you should regularly check that there is no deterioration in the ledges or casings.

3. Do I have to install a stainless steel bracket for my air-conditioning unit if it is located within my internal balcony?

No. If your air-conditioning unit is installed within your own property and would not pose any danger to the public even if it falls off. Use of stainless steel bracket is also to avoid rust stains on walls after a period of time. However, you are advised to check the condition of the supporting bracket regularly and to replace it with stainless steel one when the condition calls for it.

4. How to ensure proper insulation during installation?

Additional insulation of thickness 10mm or more of glass wool or polyethylene foam is required under the following conditions:

When the temperature and humidity in the ceiling exceed 30 degrees and Relative Humidity (RH) 80%.
When the unit operates for 24 hours.

Servicing

1. How often should I have the air conditioner serviced?

It is recommended that residential air conditioner to be serviced and checked every 3 months and every month for commercial air conditioner. The duration varies with individual usage and other environmental factors.

2. Can I do my own air-con maintenance?

Cleaning of fan coil and the cover of the air condition can done easily by anyone but to take the water tray out will be tough. To vacuum the drainage system and check the refrigeration level cannot be complete without the equipment. The expertise of checking the working system is very important in maintaining the air-condition in good condition.

3. What is the advantage of regular air con servicing?

The air conditioner will cool better.
The electrical consumption of the air conditioning equipments will be lower.
Air con leaking will be minimized.
There will be less need for air con repair.
The air con equipment lifespan will be prolonged.

4. What will happen if I do not do any servicing?

The life span of the air conditioner will be shortened, cooling coil and rotor will be clogged and water leakage may occur. Thus, this will reduce the performance and cooling efficiency of the air conditioner. The inefficient operation will then cause the electricity consumption to increase.

5. Why does the air con needs chemical cleaning?

Chemical cleaning is a very thorough way of cleaning the air conditioner. When an air conditioner is badly clogged or choked and a general service cannot improve the condition, the air conditioner is then dismantled part-by-part and chemically washed.

6. What should be done if there is a refrigerant leakage problem?

Household air-conditioner should be serviced every 2 months. Air-conditioner for office and commercial usage should be serviced once every month.

7. Do we need to service the Condenser (outdoors)? If yes, how often?

Yes. You need to service the condenser at least once a year to make sure the air circulation of the unit is not blocked. A poor maintained condenser could affect the cooling efficiency, a shorter compressor life and higher electrical consumption.

8. How often must I check or maintain the stainless steel supporting frame of my air-conditioning unit?

You should inspect them, at least, once every 6 months to see that the supporting frame has not deteriorated due to corrosion or wear and tear over time. An installer should carry out a more thorough inspection when he is engaged to clean/maintain the air-conditioning unit. If your air-conditioning unit is supported on concrete ledge, you should repair the ledge if there is crack appearing on the ledge.

9. What must I do if I need to replace my air-conditioning unit?

You must engage a trained installer to do the job as required by the law; to ensure that your air-conditioning unit is properly replaced so that it does not pose a risk of falling in future due to poor workmanship.

10. How often should my air conditioner be chemical flushed?

A qualified air conditioner technician would best ascertain the need to chemical flush when the cooling coil is badly choked and the cooling performance is deteriorating.

11. What does Chemical Flushing cover?

Chemical Flushing includes washing of the front panel (cover), air filter, drain pan & fan rotor with water, flushing it with chemical to penetrate and remove stubborn accumulated dust that inhibits in the cooling coil, clearing the drain pipe thoroughly, drying the components, and check the operating condition & temperature of the air conditioning system.

12. Can I do my own chemical flushing?

As chemical flushing is a complicated procedure, which involves dismantling of the fan coil unit components, it is advisable to engage a qualified air conditioner technician to perform the job.

13. What is the advantage of Air Purifying Filter?

Most new model of air conditioner comes with air purifying filter. Air Purifying Filter can remove smoking odor, human smell, impurities and harmful particles in the air condition space.

14. How often do we have to replace the air-purifying filter?

It is recommended that the purifying filter be replaced every three to six months. Or when the color of purifying filter (originally white color) is changed to dark brown or black. Leaving dirty air purifying filter in the air conditioning system will affect its cooling performance.

15. Can the air-purifying filter be washed?

No, it has to be replaced every three months or whenever it turns dark. The air-purifying filter is not reusable.

Troubleshooting

1. Why is the room not cold although the air con is still operating?

If there is no cool air blowing out from the unit, the outdoor condenser might not be working properly. Please arrange for the technicians to check on your condenser.

2. Why is the air con leaking water?

A normal air conditioner will have water condensate in the indoor blower and discharge through a draining pipe to the nearest drain. Water will start to leak when the drainage piping is clogged / choked.

3. Why is the room not cold enough even after the air con has been running for few hours?

The indoor blower is dirty resulting in weak dissipation of cool air.
The outdoor condenser is dirty resulting in incapable of producing cooling refrigerant.
There may not be enough refrigerant in the air conditioning system.
There might be some problem with the air conditioning system resulting in non-continuous operation of he system.
The desired operating temperature is set too high.
The air conditioner installed is under-sized.

4. Why is the air con not working?

One common reason is that the electrical power is not supply to the air conditioner. Perform an initial check on your electrical panel making sure that the electrical supply to the air conditioner has not trip. Otherwise, please arrange for a qualified technician to have the air conditioner checked.

5. Why is the air con noisy?

Noise is normally generated from:

Vibration noise resulted from dirty indoor fan coil/ outdoor condenser.
Noisy draft resulted from dirty indoor blower.
Loose mounting of component in the air conditioning system.
Faulty parts in the air conditioning system.

6. What happens if the filter signs light up and what is its function?

This shows that the air filter requires cleaning. The filter check indicator indicates an appropriate cleaning time, depending on the environment. This indicator acts as a reminder for users to clean the air filter. After cleaning, you need to reset by pressing the filter sign button on the remote controller to deactivate the red light.

7. Why is the air conditioner unable to receive the signal from the remote control?

The possible causes are:

Batteries in the remote control may have run out of power.
Objects may be blocking the receiver at fan coil unit.
The distance between the sensor and remote control may be too far.

8. What should I do if my remote control is faulty?

9. What if the fan coil gets coated with ice?

There is a need to chemically flush your fan coil unit. Please engage a qualified air conditioner technician to perform the job.

10. What is the average life span of a residential air conditioner?

Generally, the average life span of any air conditioner is six to seven years. This is subjected to usage pattern and regular servicing of the air conditioner by a qualified air conditioner technician
